If we can start incorporating small but meritorious dua’s and actions into our day-to-day life like the ones we have been presenting throughout the Shortcut to Jannah series, we should be able to gain Jannah inshaaAllah with the littlest of our efforts.     There are more than a few Du’as (supplications) from our dear Prophet’s Sunnah which we can read after eating. One of them is quite special! Read on… Generally we, Muslims, are encouraged to always praise Almighty Allah after eating because: “Verily, Allah is pleased with the slave who eats his food and praises Allah for it..” (Muslim, The Book of Drinks, Hadith 2734). The below mentioned Dua has indeed tremendous benefits.   Shortcut # 6 – Dua after Eating   On reading the dua below, your past sins will be forgiven- that is completely wipped our.   “All praise is due to Allah, who fed me this and provided it for me without any might or power from myself.” And here is the Arabic translation of the Dua- الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ Al-hamdu lillâ-hilladhi at-amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlim minni walâ quwwah. (English Transliteration) (At-Tirmidhi, The book of Supplications, Hadith 3458. Ibn Maajah, The Book of Food, Hadeeth 3285) It would be a good idea to print out this Dua and its meaning, and keep it handy for yourself and your family- may be close to the dinner table- so that you may remember to recite it every day, and with every meal and inshaAllah all of your sins will be forgiven. May Allah accept the best of your Duas and Deeds- Amen. Stay tuned for more shortcuts to Jannah in the coming episodes inshaAllah.   And please remember us in your Dua.
