In the previous episode of Shortcut to Jannah- 2, we presented a noble Hadith advising a shortcut on how to be granted entry to Paradise through any gate of your choice, in a simple 10 second Dua made after performing ablution (Wudhu).
This week we will take look into a slightly longer investment of our time, but one that would earn us great rewards God willing.
We are living through the First Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah, such blissful days that are like no other days in the year. It is said that there are no deeds more beloved to Allah than the ones done during these ten days.

Shortcut # 3
Could you imagine a single day’s fast erasing all of your sins of two years?
I discovered this gem about 9 years ago.
Read the following hadith!
‘[…]He (Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafa (9th of Dhu’I-Hijja), whereupon he (PBUH) said: It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.[…]’
(The Book of Fasting, Hadith Number 2603, Sahih Muslim)
