I’m hopeful you’ll be able to incorporate them, or at least some of them into your daily life and routines. Shortcut # 4 Can you imagine that reciting a short 20 second Dua in the morning and evening would grant you entry to Paradise, God willing? Read on! Shaddad bin Aus narrated: The Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said; “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: ‘O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You.’ The Prophet added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.” — Related by Imam Bukhari (may Allah be pleased with him) – Sahih Bukhari- The Book of Supplications, Hadith 6306) Here is the Arabic version of the noble Hadith as well as the English Transliteration of it, provided for those of you who wish to comprehen the meaning in English but recite the words in Arabic. اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ “Allaahumma ‘Anta Rabbee laa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa ‘Anta, khalaqtanee wa ‘anaa ‘abduka, wa ‘anaa ‘alaa ‘ahdika wa wa’dika mas-tata’tu, ‘a’oothu bika min sharri maa sana’tu, ‘aboo’u laka bini’matika ‘alayya, wa ‘aboo’u bithanbee faghfir lee fa’innahu laa yaghfiruth-thunooba ‘illaa ‘Anta.” “O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You.” May Allah accept the best of your Duas and Deeds- Amen.   Stay tuned for more shortcuts to Jannah in the coming episodes inshaAllah.   And please remember us in your Dua.
