With our ongoing series of ‘shortcuts’ to Jannah, we cannot make such excuses any more. Incorporate the following acts from the Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH) to spend only minutes of your time to reap enormous rewards.     In the previous episode of Shortcut to Jannah- 1 ,we looked at a simple 2-minute Dhikr (invocation) to be recited after each prayer which leads to having all our previous sins forgiven. It is like Allah the Almighty has blessed us with all these tickets of Dhikr and supplication (Duas) especially for the 21st century when we all complain of lack of time, and think we cannot spare much time for investing in a beneficial Aakhirah (the Hereafter)! Shortcut # 2 Don’t you wish to be granted entry to Paradise through any gate of your choice? A simple 10 second Dua after performing ablution (Wudhu) will make this possible God Willing, inshaaAllah. Just Read on! ‘Uqba b. ‘Amir narrated: “We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn when I came back in the evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found Allah’s Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) standing and address the people. I heard these words of his: ‘If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two rak’ahs (units) setting about them with his heart as well as his face, Paradise would be guaranteed to him.’ “I said: What a fine thing is this! And a narrator who was before me said: The first was better than even this. When I cast a glance, I saw that it was ‘Umair who said : ‘I see that you have just come and observed : If anyone amongst you performs the ablution, and then completes the ablution well and then says: I testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, the eight gates of Paradise would be opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he wishes. (Book 2, Hadith Number 0451 and 0452, Muslim)   “أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ”. ‘Ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ‘ash-hadu ‘anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu. “I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Who has no partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.” We will look at more shortcuts in Part 3 – try incorporating the above Duas in your routine to maximize your rewards that will take you to Jannah God willing!” May Allah accept the best of your Duas and Deeds- Amen.   Stay tuned for more shortcuts to Jannah in the coming episodes inshaAllah.   And please remember us in your Dua.
