One influential channel through which you can get people join, and by extension support, your pursuit of success, is earning their love and respect, i.e. justly winning their hearts and minds. And this doesn’t take place by bribing them by doing favors, or offering fake and artificial lip services.
Islam tradition offers insightful guidance on the matter.
Besides being just, supportive and kind to people, Love for Allah and consequently His love of a person leads to the love of fellow humans.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“When Allah Almighty loves a slave, He calls out to Jibril (Angel Gabriel), ‘Allah Almighty loves so-and-so, so love him!’ and Jibril loves him. Then a call goes out among the people of heaven, ”Allah Almighty loves so-and-so, so love him!’ and the people of heaven love him. Then acceptance is placed in the earth for him.”
[An Agreed Upon Hadith]
So earning the Love of the Almighty earns you the love and acceptance of people. You choose which path to tread. May Allah guide you to the right path- Amen.
